About the role

An A&R coordinator at CCG Music Group, also known as a music talent scout, is responsible for finding new artists or producers to add to the CCGMG label. They help bring the artists into the label and oversee the recording and production of their songs and albums. Our A&R professionals work directly with artists to help them make foundational decisions about their music and the future of their careers. Typically, people in this field spend time working late in the studio listening and recording music or holding long meetings with potential talent.

Responsibilities

• Works with others in the department to contribute to the success of talent acquisition.

• The coordinator works to stay updated about the current trends in music to find talent before other labels.

• Acts as the main point of contact between the artist and the record label to ensure good communication.

Candidate requirements

• A significant portion of work in this field revolves around seeing potential in new artists, bands or producers.

• The coordinator must have interpersonal skills because building relationships and expanding the CCGMG’s network can lead to the overall success rate of each newly signed artist.

• The coordinator must have extensive knowledge of music, including genres, instruments and current trends.
